Assistant Principal's Page

Dear Emerson Families,
I am truly excited to begin my journey as the Assistant Principal of Emerson Middle School and to become part of such a caring and dedicated community. I am honored to join such an amazing community, and I look forward to working alongside our students, staff, and families to continue building on the proud tradition at Emerson.
My wife and I live in the Franklin triad with our son and daughter, and as a family we are thrilled to be part of the Eagle community. Being both an educator and a parent in Livonia makes this opportunity especially meaningful, and I am eager to support our students as they grow into confident learners and leaders.
I have had the privilege of serving middle school students in both Livonia and South Lyon as a classroom teacher. Beyond the classroom, I spent ten years coaching boys basketball at Livonia Stevenson High School, beginning as the freshman coach and later serving as the varsity head coach for four years. Most recently, I have spent the past three years at Frost Middle School, where I served as Athletic Director, Washington, D.C. trip coordinator, and Unified Coach. These experiences have shaped my belief in the power of teamwork, community, and inclusive opportunities for every student.
As an educator and leader, I am deeply committed to creating a welcoming and supportive school environment where all students feel valued for who they are. I believe that middle school is such an important time in a student’s life, and it is our responsibility to ensure that every child has the chance to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is to foster an atmosphere of respect, belonging, and high expectations where students are encouraged to discover their strengths and pursue their passions.
I look forward to meeting each of you, learning more about our students, and working together to make this a successful and memorable school year. I am proud to be an Eagle!
Sincerely,
Eoghann Stephens
